The Shanghai Overseas Chinese Development Foundation was established in 2006 by a group of overseas Chinese philanthropists.
Its mission is to carry forward the long-standing tradition of overseas Chinese contributing to public welfare in China, and to promote the development of charitable initiatives supported by overseas Chinese communities and broader sectors of society.

Foundation Honors

In May 2025, the Good to Nature Special Fund under the Shanghai Overseas Chinese Development Foundation was formally established.
Aligned with China’s rural revitalization strategy, the fund leverages the natural and cultural strengths of rural areas to systematically activate internal community vitality, supporting initiatives in community development, cultural enrichment, and the broader public welfare sector.

The foundation is authorized to conduct public fundraising and is eligible for pre-tax deductions on charitable donations.
