• Good to Nature and Huilong Village Team Explore the Depth of Hani Culture

On September 15, 2025, Good to Nature’s Dai Qian led the Huilong Village guide team on a field trip to the Yunnan Nationalities Village, focusing on the theme of “Ethnic Cultural Heritage and Rural Practice.” The visit explored creative expressions, styles, and cultural representations of ethnic minority traditions, with a special focus on Hani culture and innovative ways to communicate it to wider audiences.

Through direct dialogues with ethnic inheritors and observations of traditional folk performances, the team gained a deep understanding of the Hani philosophy of harmony between humans and nature, and the belief that “all beings have spirits.” Immersed in the recreated Hani village setting, the guides experienced the essence of Hani culture — from the architectural ingenuity of mushroom houses to the artistry of terrace farming and polyphonic folk songs, each showcasing the cultural richness of the Hani people. The multi-dimensional presentation of Hani culture — through miniature terraced landscapes, traditional lifestyle simulations, and folk performances — offered valuable inspiration for the cultural activity design in Huilong Village.

This field experience not only allowed the guide team to appreciate the beauty of ethnic minority traditions but also rekindled their cultural pride and sense of heritage. During group reflections, the guides engaged in lively discussions on topics such as integrating Hani cultural elements into rural tourism and designing immersive folk experiences, exploring new directions for cultural preservation and sustainable development in their own village.
